ZeptoMetrix Corporation has established a service/research laboratory offering a wide variety of accurate, sensitive and reproducible biochemical/molecular biology analyses. ZMC uses state-of-the-art technology designed specifically for the evaluation of lipid/aqueous soluble oxidative damage markers, enzymatic antioxidant status and individual lipid/aqueous soluble antioxidants.

These tests may assist in identifying the site(s) of abnormality in the oxidative stress pathway. They can be requested individually, or arranged into meaningful profiles.  They are applicable to biological fluids, cells, subcellular fractions, tissue homogenates, tissue culture, or plant sources.

The facility is equipped with modern instrumentation to conduct spectrophotometry, fluorometry, HPLC, LC-MS and ELISA techniques. Turn around time is kept short and is usually within 1-3 weeks following receipt of samples.

The company is also actively involved in kit production and currently has the OXI-tek kit for TBARS (Thiobarbituric Acid Reactive Substances), a general screening tool for the detection of lipid peroxidation. The OXI-tek kit for genomic DNA isolation is also available. Other user friendly, cost-effective commercial kits available are Glutathione Peroxidase, Glutathione Reductase and PON (arylesterase/paraoxonase).
