Designed for the measurement of chicken IgY in chicken serum, egg yolk or white, plasma, saliva, mucosa, cell culture fluid from chicken cells, or other biological samples.

IMMUNO-TEK™ Chicken IgY ELISA Kit features microplate wells coated with polyclonal antibodies to chicken IgY to form the capture phase of the assay. Captured chicken IgY reacts with detector antibody, a polyclonal anti-chicken IgY conjugated with horseradish peroxidase. This antibody reacts only to the Fc portion of the immunoglobulin molecule allowing for the specific detection of IgY. Once the chromogenic substrate tetramethyl benzidine (TMB) is added, a blue color develops in proportion to the amount of chicken IgY that has been bound to the antibody-coated plate. Addition of stop solution results in a color change to yellow which can be measured spectrophotometrically at 450 nm. The concentrations of chicken IgY are then calculated from a standard curve.

What's included: One 96-well microplate, 12 mL bottle of detector antibody, 7 mL bottle of chicken IgY standard, 100 mL bottle of assay diluent, 125 mL bottle of 10x plate wash buffer, 12 mL bottle of substrate, 12 mL bottle of stop solution, 10 microplate sealers, and a plastic storage bag. Supplier Certificate of Analysis (CoA) is included with product shipment.

• Chicken IgY is the designation for the IgG-like molecule found in avian species
