This product is intended to aid laboratories in the evaluation of nucleic acid tests designed to detect certain portions of the Monkeypox virus genome.  Recombinant Monkeypox stock provides laboratories with a targeted, reliable control for PCR  testing. It is the only ready-to-use, whole organism full-process molecular control for Monkeypox.

Recombinant Monkeypox stock is formulated with purified, intact bacterial cells containing synthetic Monkeypox virus sequence, to a target concentration of 1,000,000 cp/mL. The sequence includes portions of the E9L, G2R, B2R, and C3L gene regions, and the cells have been chemically modified to render them non-infectious and refrigerator stable.
