            Description
                    Usutu virus (Isolate: SAAR 1776) is a mosquito-borne flavivirus. It is a small spherical virus with a lipid envelope and is 40-60 nm in diameter with a positive-sense RNA genome. Usutu virus (USUV), SAAR 1776 was isolated from a mosquito (Culex univittatus) in Ndumo, Natal, South Africa in January 1959. The complete genome of USUV, SAAR 1776 has been sequenced (GenBank: MF374485). Each frozen aliquot contains 1 mL of titered viral culture fluid.
                
            Intended Use
Viral culture fluids are sold as consumable testing  materials; propagation or commercialization is  prohibited without prior written consent from  ZeptoMetrix. The suitability and performance  characteristics should be determined by your  laboratory for each intended usage. These products are NOT intended for use in the  manufacture or processing of injectable products  subject to licensure under section 351 of the Public  Health Service Act or for any other product intended  for administration to humans.
